First Mares In Foal To Land Force

Land Force | Racing Post

The first mares have been scanned in foal to Land Force (Ire) (No Nay Never), the G2 Richmond S. winner who stands at Highclere Stud for £6,500. They include the winning Shamardal mare Bonhomie (GB), whose Cable Bay (Ire) yearling sold for £175,000 to Shadwell at Goffs UK last year; Shanndoura (Fr) (Oasis Dream {GB}), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Shamdala (Fr) (Grand Lodge); Sea The Stars (Ire) mare Kaminari (Ire); and the stakes-producing Three Sugars (Aus) (Starcraft {NZ}).

“Land Force is a natural in the covering shed and these lovely mares give a fantastic indication of the smart pedigrees being sent to him in his first year,” said Highclere's Jake Warren. “Breeders have clearly been very taken by him with his book now reaching 130 mares; we've been bowled over by this extremely exciting start.”
